Certina Brings Back the DS Argonaut in New Automatic Chronograph

Certina’s new DS Chronograph Automatic 1968 draws inspiration from the historic DS Argonaut from 1968. The watch has its entrance in a distinctive cushion-shaped case made of black PVD-coated stainless steel. It is pressure resistant to 20 bar and measures 43.5 by 43.5 mm.

The unidirectional rotating bezel, which frames the luminescent black dial with two registers at 3 and 9 o’clock, is protected by a sapphire crystal ring, fitted with a black/white scale printed from beneath.

While the visual appearance reflects the edgy charm of the original, an automatic movement ticks well protected inside the DS Chronograph Automatic 1968, representing state-of-the art with 60 hours of power autonomy and a magnet-, shock- and temperature-resistant silicon balance spring. The caliber A05.H31 can be admired through the exhibition case back.
